Description

Dublin, the vibrant capital of Ireland, is known for its rich cultural heritage, lively music traditions, iconic literary history, and world-class museums.

Explorations of this charming city provides creative inspiration for this year's painting retreat. We will be based in a converted 18th century castle hotel just outside Dublin City Centre, near the historic village of Dalkey, the Dublin coastal trail, and Killiney Hill Park on Dublin Bay.

Morning excursions include visits to the National Gallery of Ireland, the Irish Museum of Modern Art, Francis Bacon's studio at the Hugh Lane Gallery, and Trinity College to view the renowned Book of Kells.

Daily painting sessions are held at the Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel where you can choose to paint indoors in a dedicated meeting room/studio space or outdoors on the hotel grounds.

Sketching opportunities can be found as we visit local landmarks.
